The Otaku-Rating
In the continued effort to provide quality information to both users and parents we have created a unique content rating system called the "Otaku-Rating." The Otaku-Rating is both helpful and easy to understand.

What is the Otaku-Rating?
The Otaku-Rating is a user provided content rating system that covers a broad spectrum of multimedia. Unlike other rating systems the Otaku-Rating is regulated by the community and has no governing body. It is a tool to allow users to rate titles based on general guidelines and to help parents and other visitors to gain a general understanding of the content them or their children will be enjoying.

Why not use another rating system?
There are many content rating systems out there today such as the ESRB, MPAA, and TV Parental Guidelines. However, each of these content rating systems is tailored to a specific industry. Other organizations also charge to have content rated which can be costly for the indie community. Also, many older anime series have not been rated. Due to restrictions of established rating systems you cannot legally place their rating on an unrated title. The Otaku-Rating is an easy system to allow users to freely rate content without the worries of legality.
