Synopsis
Kuro Daijuuji is a poor detective living in Arkham City. When Ruri Hado of Hado Financial Group request for him to search for a grimoire, a magic book, he initially refuses until Ruri offers him a large sum of money if he succeeds. As Kuro is searching for the grimoire he runs into a girl, Al Azif, who is being chased by the Black Lodge who is an actual grimoire herself. Now entered into a pact, Al is Kuro's grimoire granting him magical abilities. Along with his new magical abilities Al has awakened the Hado Financial Group's deus machina Demonbane. With these new found powers Kuro and Al join with the Hado Financial Group to defeat Black Lodge.
