Synopsis
Zai are mysterious flying creatures that suddenly appear all over the world. In order to fight the creatures, mankind creates fighting aircraft known as "Daughters", as well as the automatic fighting pilot named "Anima", which look exactly like human girls. Kei Narutani, has always loved the sky and has always dreamed of flying in it. He meets one of the Anima, a girl named Gripen and develops a bond with her, and is then recruited by the Japan Self-Defense Force (JSDF) to overcome her troubles with flying.
