Synopsis
Youkai live in the world, hidden in plain sight. While the majority are kind, a small group poses a threat to the peace that exists between them and humans. Kotoko Iwanaga has worked as a mediator between the two realms since she accepted to become their "God of Wisdom," handling any supernatural trials that come her way. Kotoko approaches Kurou Sakuragawa, a university student whose long-term love ended in a sad breakup, at a local hospital. She has feelings for him and thinks that something otherworldly lurks beneath his seemingly innocent exterior, so she approaches him for help with the youkai. Two years later, the press was filled with reports of an idol who had been accidentally crushed by steel beams. However, sightings of a faceless lady wielding a steel beam begin to emerge months later. As with any supernatural issue, Kotoko and her partner set out to stop this spirit from spreading havoc—but this case may turn out to be far more sinister and personal than they ever imagined.
