Synopsis
Ren Amamiya is a new transfer student at Shujin Academy. He was sent to live in Tokyo with a friend of the family named Sojiro Sakura after wrongly being accused and put on probation. On his way to attend his first day of school he notices a strange app on his phone. This app transfers him into an unknown world called the Metaverse, which contains people's "shadows"; distorted depictions or demons of their true selves. In the Metaverse, he awakens his Persona, a power that gives him strength to fight the inner demons of the corrupt adults that are in the world. With help, from similarly troubled students, he and they become the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. They attempt to save people from their horribly sinful desires by "stealing their hearts", making the horrible evildoers regret their actions and confessing everything that they have done.
