Synopsis
After the sudden death of her classmate Chisa, Lain Iwakura starts to notice strange occurrences as students start receiving strange emails. Lain curious uses her computer for the first time in ages and ends up having a conversation with Chisa who explains that she is not dead and is now part of the wire. Lain’s life starts to fall apart as everything she once knew starts to change as she becomes deeper and deeper into the wired world and she begins to discover the truth and herself.
