Synopsis
An advanced gaming counsel has been released in the future called Nerve Gear which captures brain movement and simulates a realistic virtual world. At the release of the most anticipated MMO Sword Art Online 10 thousand users have logged on. When Kirito and the other players realize that the game doesn't have a log out feature they are gathered together by the game's creator Kayaba Akihiko who announces that the only way to escape is by beating the game. If a player dies in the game or anyone from the real world attempts to remove the player's Nerve Gear they will die instantly in real life. With no other choice Kirito will need to defeat the game as thousands have already died.
