Synopsis
Way out in the country side resides a small candy shop that has been run by the Shikada family for nine generations. Shikada Dagashi is a small business that sells traditional Japanese candy. The only problem is, despite his father's pleas, Kokonotsu (Coconuts) Shikada, adamantly refuses to inherit the family business and instead dreams of being an inspiring manga artist. Although both are set in their ways and ideals, a small change to their every day lives may have them changing their minds. Hotaru Shidare is a little eccentric and just arrived in town. She is in search of Coconut's father, with the goal of bringing him back to work for her family's company, Shidare Corporation. If Hotaru can convince Coconuts to take over the family business, You (Coconuts father) will gladly go.
