Synopsis
Mankind has evolved to a new era where man and machine have started to blend together. In the future mankind has begun to modify their bodies with cybernetic implants allowing them to communicate through an electronic network. In the world some individuals have completely modified their bodies, some by choice and others by necessity, into cyborgs with their brains converted into a ghost that controls them. With the change in humanity a new type of cyber crime has risen as people have had their ghosts attacked. In order to fight this crime wave an organization known as Section 9 was created. The team lead by Aramaki and Major Motoko Kusanagi work together ensuring the safety of the public by stopping rouge cyber attackers.
