Synopsis
Hokkaido is in the far northern lands of Japan. In these lands there is a survivor of the Russo-Japanese war of the Meiji era. The survivors name is Sugimoto; during the war he was also nicknamed Sugimoto the Immortal. He now plans to strike it rich in the gold rush all in hopes of saving the widowed wife of his now deceased comrade from the war. While he was in search of gold he came across rumors of a hidden stash of gold by corrupt criminals. He partners himself with an Ainu girl that saved his life from the harsh climates of the north.
