Synopsis
The future of humanity is uncertain. The final areas that support life are at the feet of enormous Orbital Trees that are dispersed around the devastated Earth in a world covered in snow and where water is becoming scarce. A sage who is aware of the key to producing copious amounts of water to save humanity is said to exist. Princess Liliha of Atland ascends an orbital tree using a biological hot air balloon in the hopes of meeting the nation's savior. She encounters Kaina, one of the only men still living on the canopy, a place that resembles an endless window of translucent ice. She is unable to locate the man she was seeking. Kaina, who is anxious to explore the surface world that he assumed was empty, lends the princess a helping hand when she is unable to return alone to her country. Kaina realizes that his escorting assignment will be more challenging than he anticipated when he learns of the battle against Liliha's country, the rival, highly developed nation Valghan.
