Synopsis
The earliest known Japan’s animation to date discovered in 2005. Consist of 50 frames on 35mm celluloid and consists of a boy in a sailor suit writing the kanji “真写動活” for katsudō shashin meaning moving pictures. The animation ends as the boy turns towards the audience and solutes. The short animation is believed to have been created around the time of 1907 to 1917. The short was discovered with no known title.
