Synopsis
The heroic Max and his group defeat the powerful Demon Lord in the decisive fight that determines humanity's destiny. The vanquished Demon Lord promises, as he takes his final breath, to return, stronger than before, to exact his retribution. After ten years, Maou has resurrected, but his body isn't fully formed yet, thus he looks like a little child. Nevertheless, Maou visits his adversary because he doesn't want to waste any more time. However, the hero who bravely rescued humanity from the demon's grasp is now a despicable slob who doesn't resemble the man he used to be. Maou moves in with Max despite his dismay, hoping to turn him back into a formidable foe. However, the demon discovers that there is a backstory to Max's demise that he is unaware of as he gains more knowledge about what happened during the ten years that he was absent.
