Synopsis
Hachiman Hikigaya is a narcissistic and semi-nihilistic high school student with apathetic inclinations. He is certain that happy youth is a hoax, and that anyone who claims differently is only lying to themselves. Hachiman's teacher makes him join the Volunteer Service Club as a new punishment for authoring an essay criticizing modern social connections. Hachiman finds himself on the front lines of other people's issues, with the beautiful ice queen Yukino Yukinoshita as the sole other club member—a place he never imagined he'd be. Will Hachiman's rotten vision of society prove to be a burden or a tool he can use to his advantage as he and Yukino utilize their wits to solve a variety of pupils' problems?
