Synopsis
One thousand years after the destruction of most of human civilization and Earth’s ecosystem the world is left covered by poisonous plants leaving the toxic jungle inhabitable by man. Even breathing the air near the toxic plants can be lethal and man is forced to live away from any forest, being pushed back by the monstrous insects that protect the plants. Princess Nausicaä and the people of the Valley of the Wind try to live harmoniously with nature while others see the toxic plants and insects as a threat. When a airship crashes onto the cliffs near the valley Nausicaä runs off to save any survivors that there may be only to find a princess in shackles moments from death leaving Nausicaä with her final request to destroy the dangerous cargo in the ship. The Valley of the Wind is now caught up in the war of outsiders as others seek out the cargo for its power. It is up to Nausicaä to save her people and bring peace to mankind and the forests.
