Synopsis
Shinya Kiritani, an expert player in the virtual reality game The New Gate, is stuck alongside hundreds of other players and decides to finish the game in order to go back home. But after defeating the last boss by himself, Shinya finds himself in a new world that doesn't seem to be much different from the one he just left behind. Shinya finds that he is stuck in this strangely familiar world as long as the game menu remains the same and his skills remain the same. Shinya meets Tiera Lucent, a hotel receptionist and Schnee Raizar's protégé, while trying to figure out how to escape this new spatial prison. Schnee Raizar was once a member of Shinya's party. With this ray of hope, Shinya sets out to discover the truth about The New Gate and get back together with Schnee.
