Story:

Without a mother or father, Daichi Etsuo, an intelligent but antisocial high school student, is forced to live with his older sister, Chou. The holiday spirit has spread throughout Japan, but today is a dark day. Daichi has found a letter explaining the disappearance of Chou on her bed after discovering that her bedroom door was open. Without any clues, the police decided that she had committed suicide. Without anyone to care for him, Daichi is forced to live in an orphanage.

One year later, a girl from a wealthy and powerful family named Akahana Chie was just saved from a group of gang members, belonging to the Dorīmuītā gang, by Eri Choukichi, Daichi's childhood friend, an athlete who has struggled through school his entire life. While investigating the gang's hideout, police have found important clues as to the mystery behind Chou's disappearance and even a possibility that she may even be dead. In hopes to repay Eri for rescuing her, Akahana has placed herself in his debt. Unwilling to give up on his sister, Diachi asks Eri for support. To remove Akahana’s debt, Eri has asked her to give Daichi all of the police records concerning his sister and a place to stay. Without any other leads, Diachi must research the possibility of a relation between his sister and the Dorīmuītā.

An old Chinese man had a dream that he was a butterfly.

It felt so real that he actually thought he was a butterfly.

But as all good thing come to an end, he woke up.

When he did, he could not figure out if he was a man dreaming to be a butterfly...

Or a butterfly dreaming it was a man.

Oh, I apologize for misunderstanding. Hopefully when I post the first chapter either tonight or tomorrow as a preview, I will have everything seems logical and nothing sounds confusing. Thank you for your input everyone :D

Ah no I wasn't saying it wasn't possible for her to commit suicide. I meant it seemed unlikely that the police would say she committed suicide without a body or a note etc. If she's missing they're more likely to say she simply left on her own if they have no other leads. Sorry if I was unclear ^^

It is extremely common for people to randomly commit suicide in Japan because their lives are very stressful. Since Chou has disappeared without a trace, she might have committed suicide in a not well known/traveled area or she did just leave. The whole thing might seem like a stretch but I did a lot of research to make sure I could get things as accurate as possible without making the story seem dull.

Hmm...I think the idea that the police would decide she committed suicide because they had no other clues is a little far fetched. If she committed suicide there would be a body (as she could not move herself after she died). I think it would make more sense for the police to decide that she ran away on her own if they had no other clues about her disappearance. I really like the last two lines about the man and the butterfly! Very interesting :D

What I like about it is how there is how there is so much room to develop the story. Like Chie why was the gang attacking her. Why would Eri be in the area of the attack I'd imagine that a gang lives in bad areas. And if it's in a bad area why would a rich girl be there? See so much room to make a story I love it.

Well I love the idea so far it's great. But if the police thought Chou committed suicide then finding new info on Chou would thus re-open the case as they would think it is more then suicide.
