I started to write a few short stories but I can't find the perfect length and the right plots for them. With this it will keep me busy, help with creative flow, and it will even help me with my literature studies.

A lot of fansub groups will post scripts online and there are other sites which promote legal content and will provide translations for raws. Sometimes it helps to change pace with stories. I had a trilogy I worked on and since shelved due to other projects. I probably won't work on it again until I can find a good mangaka. Before I stopped I switched to script format which helped my ideas flow better. But for an end product longhand is probably best.

Sounds good to me but if you have problems with writing right now, could you write short stories?

I remember a time when I had a slightly similar experience. Having someone you don't know well admire you a lot from a distance always seemed surreal to me. It's one of those moments you think only exists in fantasy. Just shows how much of an impact you can have on people without even knowing it.

It is a true story, and it has shaped my being into what it is this very moment. It does not have an underlying meaning other than what you will make of it. It is simply a fragment of time that I have not shared with anyone other than Cheyenne until now.

I understand because I have experienced something similar that has defined me as the person I am today. I was once childhood friends with a girl but as we grew older, I began to changed. I was no longer interested in the things she was. From that very fact, we grew distance by each passing year until we no longer talked to each other. To this day I wondered if I tried to talking to her, would we be friends again? She is the first friend I ever had and I loved her but never will I talk to her.

Ah she represented a change in your life, a shift if you will where you gained some new understandings. The park it's self was the play of this story as much has happened there that changed you and her as well. The smoke she breathed in represented her confusion and trouble of mind, but she would soon return to the stage (park) where understandings have been formed as she consulted what had troubled her. Perhaps the fact you observed another person change acted as a catalyst of for you.

Yes, the lengths are very good. The descriptions are great too. I especially love the third chapter and how it ends. Very juicy story! Thanks for sharing.

I like it. What I enjoy is being in different characters shoes. That way we can see the story in different perspectives.

Thank you, the second and third chapters will have the pleasures of adding more depth to the characters, detail of the city, and auxiliary characters as well as introduce more of the plot. I will also change the writing style a bit. For anybody that wants to know, after I post the second and third chapters, I will write the first half of the book (essentially Act I) and post it to my blog. When the second half (Act II) is done, I will post the whole book on the forums and my blog.

Hmm I like the idea but this is a skeleton at the moment. You need to add muscles on the frame by that more details. Like after his sister went missing you should describe briefly how he changed as a person in that orphanage.(This way we understand him more you know get attached.) And try to put time in order I'm not sure what is happening fully cause I don't know the time frame. But I love these kind stories and it's looking great so far.

I'm hoping not to describe a lot so that I can leave more to the reader's imagination and I think doing so would help immerse the reader just a little bit more. But you are right, I need to describe the town and facial expressions. I just want to avoid the "With a smirk on his face, SoAndSo said:" because it sounds cheesy and cliched. If there is no way around it I will have to just deal with it.

Hi. It would be great if you could do a description of the neighborhood in 1-2 sentences, then have a transition sentence that leads to 'the noise of..'. Also, how about describing Daichi's facial expressions, emotions, and thoughts? I think you could describe the scenes a bit more. Even though your first chapters will be short, in my opinion the story goes rather fast. But I like it, and will continue reading.

Ah no I wasn't saying it wasn't possible for her to commit suicide. I meant it seemed unlikely that the police would say she committed suicide without a body or a note etc. If she's missing they're more likely to say she simply left on her own if they have no other leads. Sorry if I was unclear ^^

It is extremely common for people to randomly commit suicide in Japan because their lives are very stressful. Since Chou has disappeared without a trace, she might have committed suicide in a not well known/traveled area or she did just leave. The whole thing might seem like a stretch but I did a lot of research to make sure I could get things as accurate as possible without making the story seem dull.

Hmm...I think the idea that the police would decide she committed suicide because they had no other clues is a little far fetched. If she committed suicide there would be a body (as she could not move herself after she died). I think it would make more sense for the police to decide that she ran away on her own if they had no other clues about her disappearance. I really like the last two lines about the man and the butterfly! Very interesting :D

What I like about it is how there is how there is so much room to develop the story. Like Chie why was the gang attacking her. Why would Eri be in the area of the attack I'd imagine that a gang lives in bad areas. And if it's in a bad area why would a rich girl be there? See so much room to make a story I love it.

Well I love the idea so far it's great. But if the police thought Chou committed suicide then finding new info on Chou would thus re-open the case as they would think it is more then suicide.

Of course I will post it when I'm done. The final plans will be on my blog when they are finished and the first few chapters as well. The whole book will be posted on the forums. I will try to add some new ideas to keep it original and a lot of events to keep downtime to a minimum.

It's not a bad story so far as it does leave a lot of room for originality. Only concern would it being too slow of a story. I'll give it a look if you decide to post some later.

I was thinking about keeping it realistic but with elements that are not what someone would expect. So some scenes would have a little more drama than normal and some things just seem impossible when they truly are. The base story is still under construction and I'm ironing out the small details, but this is what I'm growing the final plans from.

Plot could use a bit more spice: you might be missing the 'how?', which would be answered through your last sentence. Think also about these things: is it in the present, past, future? An alternate world? Unless you want to keep your story realistic.
