I agree with you, theawsome, about Kill La Kill.. The animation felt too weird to me but it also felt familiar for some reason. I think one of the reason, was that most of the animation in the anime doesn't seem to be as fluid as the fight scenes. Anyway, the only fault I found that really bug me the most was the Japanese characters bold when a new character shows up or something.

Eh I see so Diabolic Lovers loses it's charm I'll have to see for my self then. As for Kill la Kill I find I'm not use to such dynamic animation such as that. Also I hope Coppelion meets my expectations but I won't set it to high.

After the 3rd ep of Diabolik Lovers it started loosing charm. But what can you expect when it's based on a otome. As for Kill la Kill I'm on the same boat when it comes down to plot. I decided to give it a 2nd chance since I love the animation studio but will ultimately drop it if the story doesn't pick up.

The art is lovely and sort of intricate for manga.

No you won't see the outside of people but expect to see some of their insides at times though.

I agree about the horror genre being weak. Most horror in general feels weak at times to try to be "scary". That is most likely the main fault and strongest point in viewing something relating to horror. Although if this horror manga is really that good then I will consider reading it...Hopefully there are no tits distracting from the plot. :P

Well as for today's Anime this is very true the horror genre is weak providing mild horror. I know not long ago (90's) had some decent horror Anime. But unlike Anime is more of a business and as such trys to make money.

Never was huge on horror but manga always seems to outshine anime in this genre. Wish there was more focused in horror anime at just being a gritty horror and not focus on characters as much. Anime is normally so predictable since you can tell whose going to die just based on the type of character development they get.

In terms of relationship development it wasn't bad but rushed. It's pacing was a bit choppy. One thing that annoys me about some romances is why they even fall in love, sometimes no good reasons are given to why they fell in love.

Alot of animes were forceful like that, and when it comes to those kind of animes I drop them easily. I like animes that have relationships grow slowly. The ones that have slow growing relationships are the ones that are probably more interesting.

That is true about the main character. I should of talked about that aspect. There is one thing I did notice though it seems after a couple of episodes people are no longer afraid of him unless he does something.

I probably agree with you on the score but it is unique for having the main character being scary or looked scary. You do see that in anime but that is a unique aspect on the anime. On the other hand you hit the nail on the plot, it felt very forced. Good review.

I saw the first few episodes of this because it was highly recommended on forums. But as you mentioned while it's good it's not the best. With this plot line done so much I had difficulties saying interested in it and had to drop it.

Why watch this when you can watch all 600+ episodes of One Piece! Seriously, 51 episodes is the perfect number. It may seem like a lot, but 4 season series tend to be some of the best.

It depends it you have anything else to. Sailor Moon has 200 episodes, and it took me a few months to complete, considering I was attending school at the time. Still, it wouldn't have taken me two weeks.

now this summer maybe re-watch Sailor moon and Saint Seiya, it should not take more than 2 weeks to see it all. ^^

this anime looks like fun ^_^ lol you think that's big just finish Urusei Yatsura EP: 195 + Special + 12 OVA + 6 Movies. and the longest anime i seen complete all TV series plus all the other stuff was Dragon Ball, now that's a real good and big anime ^^

This is the longest Anime I have seen myself. The second longest being Familiar of Zero. But this Anime did keep my attention and I liked it.

Yeah I had this one on my plan to watch, but once I found out it was 50+ eps, I said forget it. I'm totally traumatized by Naruto. Although the manga caught my eye a while ago, so maybe I'll read it sometime.

Must say...though the drool shots creep me out beyond belief, I am enjoying this series! Thanks Awsome! ^^

This was my favorite series when it was out. You can tell the creators put a lot of passion into it. The main character's name Akira is just one of the many subtle anime references tucked away throughout the series.

I am very happy that you reviewed this one. It is a must-watch for me. I don't know why I haven't started yet. I especially wanted to see it after I read a review on it in a magazine. I really like the fact that these characters actually have this realistic romantic relationship, because shojo romances are always so vague and have little to no progression. So, you're right, this is refreshing. Thank you for posting. :]

I think its a good overall anime and is worth a watch if you like Action and Drama.

The monsters were great considering some of them were the characters.

Seems quite interesting. From your review, it seems the monsters are the best part of the anime. I am not a huge fan of horror, although I am slowly opening myself up to it.

Anime that chooses to do development for more than one characters can definitely use many episodes. Perhaps if it's done in a way in which it's as if the viewer grows with the character, like in Gargantia, than 13 episodes is good enough. Anyway, doesn't seem like something I would like. I've seen To Love-Ru and have to agree it wasn't a bad series. It manages to hold close to a lot of the roots of harem genre by really focusing on comedy. Have to say it's worth a try if you have nothing else you want to see.

Have fun! Drove by Tennessee a few times in the past. Not a bad state. Nashville is a great place to hit if you're into music.

Yes that is true that is the reason I looked at it in the first place then I found out I loved it for other reasons.

Seems like a weird anime, especially from those images. Still, it seems worthwhile for ecchi & harem fans to watch. I think watching anime made for fan service more than anything is worth giving a shot if you're just looking to unwind.

I like the psychological aspect, as you mentioned. But I never thought about those little accents in character design. Best review yet. =]
